Happy Birthday, Captain!

He’s still two years younger than I am. 

If I manage to call him later, Ane will sing “Happy Birthday” to him over the phone.  We’ll see if she remembers how to say happy birthday in Japanese - we read it in Yoko’s Paper Cranes two nights ago.

Oh, and my volunteering stint in Ane’s class went pretty well - it was kind of a “cool” moment for her when her teacher asked who she had brought to school with her.

Yeah, I know - someday, that won’t be a “cool” moment when Mom shows up at school.
