Windy Beach

It’s not Hawaii, but it will do in a pinch.  (And I’m not sure why I’m going backward in the events of the last week, but I think this is the last one.)

We spent a windy but pleasant afternoon at Richmond Beach on Friday, where we lounged with Lisa and the Bean.  And the wind was rocking so much that there were several kite surfers in the water.

Ane, Tad, and Thumper went straight for the water.

Rerun had no interest in water, unless it was making the sand wet enough to build with.

And then Thumper fell into the surf, requiring a complete change of clothes and the removal of his boots.  His boots were full of water and squishing when he walked.

Change of clothes later...

Then he discovered the sensory value of sand, and got delightfully dirty.

Biggest sensory bin ever

Eventually, Tad and Rerun shed their boots and socks, and everyone needed a shower when we got home.  But it was fun!

Maybe we can have a little less wind next time, though.
