Review on Monday

I am seeing Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith today at the Cinerama, so I will defer my usual movie review and review it for all on Monday.

On the up side, all of the season finales are pretty much over for me now, with the exception of ‘American Idol.’ But ‘ER’ wrapped up last night with its usual cliffhanger, which, I pointed out to the Webmaster, is designed to look dramatic but will most likely end up being as anti-climactic as most of their other summer cliffhangers. It will all be solved within the first 10 minutes of the opening show next season. And if not, then they will have gotten rid of a very annoying guest character. I won’t be thinking about it this summer.

I’ve been looking at the fall TV lineups and frankly, nothing new in them interests me. Nothing sounds new, fresh, or particularly funny, and none of the actors/actresses slated to be in new shows are much of a draw to me either. I used to watch ‘Law & Order’ a lot, and I don’t mind watching it or its spinoffs, but it’s not important enough to me to catch it. I never got into the ‘CSI’ stuff, so with ‘Raymond’ now in permanent syndication, I won’t be watching anything on CBS (I might be one of the few people who don’t watch ‘CSI’).

So, less TV for me. I know that this sounds like what I said yesterday, but it is still true. However, I am taping ‘Muppets’ Wizard of Oz’ tonight (ABC) – because I love the Muppets. Bring back a newer version of the Muppet Show and I’ll watch it!

M’s hosting San Diego this weekend. Hopefully their comeback win against the Yankees on Wednesday will spur them on to further victories. And applause and congratulations on a season well played to the Sonics, who lost by the narrowest of margins last night. Hopefully they can all come back and do this again next season.
