A recap and a break

I am beat. This cold is really taking it out of me. The Webmaster, bless him, has bought me cough drops, but since I am still drug-less in Seattle (or the nearby suburbs thereof), I suffer. My nose is raw, I sneeze frequently, and my brain is so fried that I made a major error in a two-star Sudoku puzzle and had to go back and start over again.

To top it all off, I had made plans for this week that I couldn’t change. Monday was birthday shopping day with Auntie, and we were quite productive. We even found time to let the Munchkin play on the big toys at the mall. I went to Janie and Jack and began to pray that certain spring dresses hit the sale racks sooner rather than later, since I really want to get the Munchkin a “dressy dress” for Easter. I’m not sure what I’m going to wear, but darn it, my girl is going to look good! As for Baby Boy, we have a few options – it all depends on how much he grows in the next couple of months.

Yesterday, we had quite a day at The Children’s Museum at the Seattle Center. My mother, Auntie and I took the Munchkin and Baby Boy, since Auntie is on a school break this week. The museum has a wonderful exhibit of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood going on right now, and the Munchkin, though she is young, really enjoyed it. She also loved the many other things to do at the museum, and so it was with some difficulty that we dragged her off for lunch. She also loved the International Fountain at the Center, and she had a complete temper tantrum when it was time to leave – it was well past naptime. Baby Boy rolled with the punches as usual, which made my life easier. Grandma and Auntie were a great help, and we all had fun.

Here are some pictures from our outing:

Today, I am taking a break. We are all going to dress in comfortable clothes (read: sweatpants and fleece) and hang around home. After two days of go-go-go, I need to rest. And maybe find the time to beat this cold. So, I promise to rest up and be healthy soon! And here are my predictions for the girls’ round of American Idol:
Still in: Mandisa, Kellie, Paris, Lisa and Katharine
On the fence: Becky, Ayla, Heather, Melissa and Kinnik
Voted out: Stevie and Brenna (who is the most annoying contestant I have ever seen!)
Funniest commercial: Leonard Nimoy and Aleve. That was hilarious!

Yeah go ahead rub it in. That is the fact that even though you are sick you still have Seattle right there and you don’t have to pay $5.50 in tolls (plus parking and admission) round trip to get into it. Boy do I miss Washington.
