Household Haiku

A few thoughts and various things from the last 24 hours, expressed in haiku:

Don’t sit on your baby
brother was a command, not
a mere suggestion.
Tiny feet sneak toward a
forbidden snack. Pitter-pat,
SNAP! It’s a dead mouse!
Changing your diaper –
Hold still Hold still Hold still Hold
still Hold still Hold still!

A rainy Thursday.
We can’t go play at the park.
Who wants a cookie?

A happy Mommy
has plenty of tissues and
some dark chocolate.

And here are my American Idol predictions for the guys:
Still in: Patrick, Chris, Gedeon, Elliott, Ace and Taylor (who the Webmaster voted for)
On the fence: David, Will, Jose and Kevin
Voted out: Bucky and Bobby

Your first two haiku’s have six syllables in the first line, there is only supposed to be five.

American Idol: Bobby needs to be shot, Simon is right about him.

Your haikus are great! Isn’t poetry fun?

Jon: Bucky may have presence, but in light of the other guys competing with him, I think the audience may fail to connect with him.

Little Cousin’s Mommy: You always knew math was my weak point. YOU try writing haiku with the Munchkin trying to take your pencil! This is why it’s easier to write haiku in Japanese – no question on the syllables. You know what I mean…

Laurie: The Webmaster kept re-dialing because kept kept getting a busy signal, so now we know that was you. 😉 But honestly, isn’t Taylor great?
