What He Was Thinking, part II

This is the actual internal monologue that Baby Boy had while he was in his highchair waiting for dinner last night.

MOMMY! Just in case you didn’t notice, I AM HUNGRY! DO SOMETHING!!!

Okay, she’s got the Cheerio container. She’s putting some on my tray. Ohhh, this is good stuff. (crunch, crunch) Wait a minute – did she just say that the container is empty??? Noooo! What am I gonna do now? I like these things!

What is that big yellow box? She’s pouring something into the Cheerio container…

Sweet manna from heaven, there are Cheerios in that box!!! *whew* For a minute there, I was worried! (crunch, crunch)

Big sister is trying to feed me again. I don’t want the plastic spoon from her tea set in my mouth unless I put it there! No, I’m not opening my mouth! I hear the door… Daddy’s home! Hi, Daddy!

Mommy is giving him something… is that my bowl? I think… yes, it is! DINNER! Peas and mixed cereal… y’know, this stuff isn’t bad. Yum, yum…

All done! May I have more Cheerios, please? We still have that box, right?

Little Cousin recognizes and gets excited when she sees the Cheerios box.
