PBS, why do you hate me?

Dear PBS management,

Thanks for totally screwing with my life. It’s a good thing for you that I have a DVR machine.

For the record, I LIKED having Sesame Street on at 10 am. It was post-breakfast and a nice mid-morning break. Which I need.

You moving the show to 9 am messes with my schedule. The nine o’clock hour around here usually means breakfast. My children cannot watch TV during breakfast. They don’t eat their food. I kind of prefer that they do eat. Therefore, I will have to remember to DVR Sesame Street every morning, just to work around your new programming line-up.

And you couldn’t make this any easier for me, and move up Between the Lions and Mister Rogers along with Sesame Street, could you? Nooooo. You put in this Big, Big World thing and the spawn of the devil, Barney, in at 10 and 10:30 am, and left Lions and Mister Rogers at 11 and 11:30.

Are you trying to drive me insane??

No, my kids don’t need to watch all this TV. But if they’re going to watch something, your programming isn’t that bad. But I liked having everything in a neat, orderly fashion in a 2 hour block, and then calling it quits until the evening. Was that so wrong???

This sucks and I want my tax dollars back.

Sincerely bitter,
Deanna

Well, not quite “tax dollars.” According to the “Free Press”….

“In FY2004, the cost of public television for the entire year was less than $1 in CPB funding per person.”

    Just saying 🙂

Then perhaps I should amend it to “tax dollar.” 🙂
