The Brain Speaks!

Just got home from Friend and Doc’s – had dinner with them tonight. The kids are now fast asleep after all their playtime with the Brain and Head.

Two funny Brain stories from tonight:

Friend asked him to turn their computer on after dinner, so she could check her email. The Brain would have rather turned it on so that he could play computer games, but went to go do as she said. “I know what to do! I click on (Doc’s name) and then enter your password! What’s your password, Mommy?”

We adults were laughing so hard around the table that we cried.

Later, the Brain hit his head against the wall while playing rather hard with the Webmaster. He raised a good-sized knot on his head. In the midst of all of his sobbing, Friend came in and gave him two children’s Tylenol tablets to chew/let dissolve in his mouth. They smelled just like concord grape juice, and must have tasted just as good. How do I know this? Because as soon as the Brain had recovered enough of his usual spirits, he started intentionally banging his head against the wall. Then he looked at his mother and said, “I hit my head, Mommy! I need more medicine!”

So, if you catch a three-and-a-half year old trying to sneak out of a Walgreens with children’s Tylenol chewables under his shirt… it’s probably the Brain, trying to get his grape-flavored high.
