Six years and counting…

Our wedding dayWhen you get married in the year 2000, there really is no excuse for not knowing how many years you’ve been married. But just to make sure, I had it engraved inside of the Webmaster’s wedding ring.

It’s been six years now, and it feels both longer than that and shorter than that. It seems like only yesterday that we stood in front of everyone and said our vows… and it feels like a lifetime when we look at our two children and try to measure time by their lives.

Our wedding day was much like everyone else’s… stressful! But in the end, we got married, even if the photographer forgot to take some important pictures and the minister left out the “in sickness and in health” line in my vows. We’re still here, we’re still together, and we still love each other. If we didn’t, there’s no way I’d put up with his snoring and he’d put up with all of my clutter. Love covers a lot.

Happy Anniversary, Webmaster – we’ll go out later, but we have a birthday party to throw first…

(Sorry about the photo quality, everyone… we are having scanner issues, and ended up taking a picture of this photo on our digital camera to post. I’ll put a cleaned-up version on here someday!)

Happy anniversary! (Yes, I’m a bit late, but I celebrated your anniversary, as I did ours, at the Lovely Lake.)

And a wedding that goes perfectly isn’t a real wedding. We had a ballistic stepmother, a veil that kept jumping off my head, a food-related near-emergency…but a really great time, too.
