We have lured her over to the dark side

The five-sticker system for our potty training is going pretty well. And the Munchkin’s control (thanks to Elmo) is rapidly improving. I was hoping that she would be fully potty-trained by the end of the summer, but I am very confident that she will achieve full potty control by her third birthday.

To recap: the Munchkin earns one sticker for each time she uses the potty, and two stickers if she poops. She has to earn five stickers to watch one extra TV show (aside from her limited PBS fare, which includes Sesame Street), and after 15 stickers, she can choose a movie instead of a TV show.

She earned enough stickers for a movie last night, and so the question was posed: What movie do you want to watch?

Without batting an eye, she pronouced: “Star Wars.”

Then she got specific: Star Wars with Luke.

We watched Episode IV. I’m so proud of her. Her addiction is complete.
