Sneaky Mommy

The op: steal Tad’s bunny blanket out of his crib to be tossed in the wash and dried while he sleeps.

The Webmaster did the deed as I read to Ane. I then started a load of laundry, tossed it in the dryer the minute it finished, and an hour later, the bunny was dry enough to sneak back into the crib.

Mission accomplished, but I was caught red-handed. Tad went to bed early because he was cranky, and he’d woken up feverish from his afternoon nap. When I snuck into his room to put the bunny back in, he was awake and sporting a temperature again. Poor baby. We spent some time cuddling in his room with a cup of cold water and a wet washcloth after he got a dose of Tylenol.

But he never knew the bunny had left him. He was quite happy to see it, though, and it smells a whole lot better. Hopefully he wakes up feeling better in the morning.
