Hodgepodge

The weekend is upon us, and the roads lay bare. And wet. No snow. Or ice.

HALLELUJAH!

Sooo, I have a stamp camp at Friend’s house on Sunday afternoon (and Handy Girl, you had better show up – no weather excuses! Your birthday is tomorrow! Don’t you want your birthday present???), and I have 4 cards designed and made, three more plotted – meaning I know what stamp sets I’m using and I’ve picked the colors – but the 8th card has me stumped. I guess I’ll go digging in my stamp sets and pick one that appeals to me, because Friend said she couldn’t think of another one she really wanted to use. Hmmm…

Tad has learned to do the “jaw of death” and now we are in really big trouble. For those of you not familiar with the term, the “jaw of death” is when Ane sets her teeth in an underbite, jutting out her chin, just before she whacks someone. And now Tad is doing it, too – just before he smacks his sister one. The funny thing is, both the kids have a natural overbite, so the “jaw of death” portends much in our house. I think I am on permanent referee status now.

Little Mo is home from the hospital now (the doctors still not knowing what happened with all of her fevers, apparently), and her spirits are picking up. However, her big chemo push begins on January 29th, and there will many hospital stays involved. Please remember her in your thoughts and prayers.

The Webmaster got a little gift from his former contract company earlier this week. When he initially got the job he has now in September, they told him he would be starting right after Labor Day, so he bought a bus pass. When the company that the Webmaster is now working for permanently got back to the contractors, the start date had been pushed back… meaning that it would have been cheaper not to buy said bus pass.

Well, his reps at the contract company took him out to lunch on Tuesday as a thank-you-for-being-a-nice-contractor thing, and gave him a we’re-sorry-about-the-bus-pass-thing gift… a $50 Starbucks gift card.

I am getting myself a piece of that, thank you very much.

Anyone up for coffee?

Have a good weekend!

They’ll let you buy some smaller gift cards with the one big one. I know this because I am a good wife and frequently share with my husband. 🙂 Starbucks has the technology to do this, but sadly, Tully’s does not.
