Shock of the morning

There’s nothing like waking up on the last day of February and finding THIS outside your window:

I thought the groundhog DIDN'T SEE his shadow...

Yeah. A little bit of a surprise. The weather forecast said nothing about getting snow this low in elevation – just up in the mountain passes. I have no idea what this will do to my day. The kids seem to think this is pretty neat, though.

The shock of snow is right up there with Ane waking the Webmaster and me up with the proclamation of “Mommy, Daddy, my bloody nose went away!”

The Webmaster muttered to me, “Where did it go?” Fortunately, the damage was limited to a few drops on her pillowcase, so we got off easy.

This whole morning has been quite the adrenaline rush! I hope it calms down from here on out.

I wasn’t feeling the adrenaline when I was up all night working ’til 4am. And now this freakish global warming fallout; what next? 🙂
