Little Mo update

Things are not good for Little Mo at the moment.

She had been doing really, really well, but her latest round of medication these last couple of days included a shot that she’s had a violent reaction to. It has affected her pancreas so badly that it started (in her dad’s words) “malfunctioning” and they are hopeful that no permanent damage has occured, or that the problem/reaction will not spread to her liver. Regardless, she will end up spending a week at Children’s Hospital, on an IV so that she will get enough nutrients (she has been vomiting too much to eat).

Everybody please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

And while we’re working through the sad news of life, I also have to report that my sister-in-law, Q-Bee, miscarried last week. The Captain reports that she is doing well, though they are both terribly disappointed and the rest of us are, too. Ane, Tad and I will be visiting them in a few weeks (the kids’ first plane trip!), and Little Cousin and her Mommy are there right now. Hopefully, we’re not all too much of a burden while we’re visiting.

Sometimes life just gives you a kick in the teeth, doesn’t it?

Please let Q-Bee know that I’m praying for her. I hope she’s not too crazy-hormonal like I was! What a sad, strange ordeal.

    Oh no what dreadful news.
Our thoughts are with both Little Mo and Q-Bee. Having people around you can really help though. I know it certainly helped me.
Life can be so cruel. Please pass on our most heartfelt hugs to them.
