They drive me mad…

Sometimes, the kids do things that are completely predictable and kid-like.

Case in point: I was letting Ane color with markers – something Tad is not allowed to do just yet. So, to keep Tad from bugging her, I gave him a few alphabet magnets to play with.

Vroom. Ane was right there at the fridge. “I’m all done with the pens. I want to share the magnets,” she announces.

Gaaah.

But then they do something totally sweet and unexpected. Ane and Tad are watching Sesame Street together, and he is sitting in her lap.

??!??!

I guess I signed up for this roller coaster – I’ve just got to hang on for the rest of the ride.

In other news… happy birthday (yesterday) to Little Cousin’s Mommy! I really need to think of a new blog name for her before she becomes Baby Cousin’s Mommy. Must put my thinking cap on…

Tonight begins sports camp at church for Ane! This is her first time going, and I think I’m more excited than she is. This is not a traditional Vacation Bible School, but it has some of the same elements. They will be playing soccer and basketball and football, with an optional cheerleading class. The Brain and Head will also be joining Ane for the week… I predict that they will all sleep well this week!

Had a big Stampin’ Up quarterly meeting on Saturday… and I won third place in the swap competition! It is a HUGE deal to me, because I’ve never won anything there before. And for people to actually like and vote for a card that I made… it is a very validating feeling.

Unfortunately, validation doesn’t get me out of laundry. How was everyone else’s weekend?
