Ready, set, discuss

I got a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows yesterday. Friend and Doc had put in early for a library copy, and then they both cheated and read it online. Thus, I got their library copy much sooner than I would have.

I finished the book in seven hours flat. I cannot wait until the kids are old enough to enjoy these books.

So, anyone else out there read it yet? 🙂

Like books 2-6 I got this book the day it was released. Like you I normally devour them in one day. For some reason I’ve been taking my time on this one and I’m only about 3/4 of the way through it. This one isn’t grabbing me in like the others have. I think I liked the innocence of the characters in books past and in this book the innocence is clearly gone.

I got it the day it was released (thank you, amazon.com). And I finished it the next day. I loved it. I’m currently reading it aloud to Oddball as we have done with all the Potter books and we’re only about 3/8 through.

Now that we have all but one of the paperbacks, I plan on starting the series sometime this year. Kind of like how I’m just now starting on 24. I know it ends, now I want to catch up on all the back-stories. I’m a little slow on the uptake like that =)

Everyone I know has read these books, and NO ONE will fess up and tell me how it ends. I’m so curious, in fact, that I started reading the series (I’m slightly behind the curve on this one, I know.)

I got mine on the Midnight release! I’m a very slow reader though, so I only finished it last Thursday. I was very please that my long-held theory was correct! I see you guys have different covers from us though. Glad you enjoyed it! I’m looking forward to Mophead and Dustbunny reading them too!

I got it at noon the day it was released and finished it by midnight. I thought I was fast. Wow.
