First Day of School!

This was the big day!

Today was Ane’s first day of preschool! It was only an hour long, and parents were invited to accompany the students on their first day (to ease separation anxieties and to walk the kids through the routines). Ane was so at ease when we walked in that she hugged both of her new teachers, and tried to get me to leave. To say that she enjoyed it would be an understatement.

She broke into tears when it was time to leave. Her teacher reassured her that she would be coming back tomorrow, and that Mommy would leave and she would get to spend more time in school than she did today.

I think we’re off to a good start.
