I am your father…

Do you see Tad’s puckered lips? He’s making lightsaber sound effects.

He’s been in the cast for just over a full month now, and he gets it off in ONE WEEK.

And yes, he is standing on his own in this picture. He does have to pull himself up on something – be it a piece of furniture, his father, etc. – but he can stand alone if he doesn’t get too active. If he starts moving too much, he falls over. He did take about four steps across the living room unassisted two days ago – well, more like waddling – until he fell/lunged for the couch to hold him up. He can get himself up and down off furniture and cruise or crawl around to get places.

Still, even with all this adapting Tad’s done, he will feel like he’s been set loose from his own personal prison in a week. I can’t believe we’ve made it this far. I can’t believe there’s only one week more to go.

I hope we can make it until then!
