Christmas – Our House

Here goes the Christmas recap – in pictures!

It was snowing on Christmas Eve, so we canceled our trip to Nana and Papa’s house in the shadow of Mount Rainier. It was safer that way. So, we spent Christmas Eve puttering around, making another batch of fudge, and watching The Muppet Christmas Carol. We didn’t even have a Christmas Eve service at church because of the snow.

Still, Santa made it.

And when we woke up, it was still snowing. It was officially a white Christmas.

The kids didn’t care. They were totally ready to open presents – but they smiled obligingly for Mommy when she asked them for a picture.

They both got gifts that they loved, and here are a couple of pictures:

Tad got Cars wall stickers for his room. Ane got Princess ones for her room. These are removable stickers.

Santa brought new calendars. Ane got yet another Princess one. Tad got Classic Mickey cartoons. Santa had also done a little shopping at Disneyland, and both kids were delighted to find some toys that they’d chosen (and forgotten about) wrapped under the tree from Mommy and Daddy.

After we got dressed, we set the camera on self-timer and took our annual Christmas morning in front of the tree photo.

And then it was time to pack up and head off to Grandma and Gichan’s house for more Christmas!

The “in front of the tree” photo looks professional!

Smiles show you are in the Christmas spirit despite the cruel weather.
