Happy New Year!

We had a small crowd over here at the Corner – the Handy Family, and Friend and Doc’s crew. The food was plentiful, and the kids were reasonably well behaved, considering how tired they were. Mulled wine was served to the adults, and root beer floats were served to the kids and the pregnant women (Friend and Handy Girl) and the non-drinkers (me, who had my yearly obligatory two sips of mulled wine that promptly knocked me down a half hour later, and Handy Guy). We watched in excitement as the ball dropped in Times Square, and we celebrated the New Year together.

Then everyone went home, because it was nine o’clock on the West Coast and the kids needed to be in bed.

The Webmaster and I rang in the New Year with sparkling cider (apple-pomegranate) while watching the fireworks show on the Space Needle on TV.

Oh, yes, we are a wild bunch, uh-huh.
