Deep Thought

I know the time is coming, and coming quickly, that I won’t be able to “fix” all the hurts, disappointments, and sorrows that come into Ane’s and Tad’s lives. Nor should I continue to “fix” things for them.

But it is still really cool that right now, a lollipop (or poppylock) can still right most of the wrongs in their world.

And to that end, Ane and I spent part of the afternoon yesterday making her Valentine cards for her class party today, and we put a Dum-Dum into each envelope, which she then sealed with a heart sticker. And then we handed out Crayola valentine cards – which came with heart-shaped lollipops – to all the kids at Cubbies last night.

Spread the love. Share a smile. Give someone you love a lollipop.

Thus concludes my deep thought for the day.
