Four reasons

There are four reasons why I missed most of American Idol last night.

YOU try getting four kids to smile at one camera at the same time.

At some point, you just start snapping pictures and hoping one turns out okay.

Anyway, as you can see, Baby Cousin has recovered her usual good spirits and was very happy to see her cousins tonight – and her Uncle Webmaster. Both Little Cousin and Baby Cousin have a special affection for the Webmaster. It’s very sweet.

I did manage to catch the last four performers on AI, and then I watched the recap for a small sampling and all the numbers. The competition is tight, people. I’ll take a guess, though – either Michael or Kris. I’m only judging by the clips at the end, though, so I am preparing for it to be anyone at this point.

And Ane will definitely want to watch the results show tonight, because Carrie Underwood will be performing, and Ane is a big Carrie fan. It is a school night, though, so I’ll probably tape it for her and let her watch it later.

(And for those of you who asked, we won’t know if Ane will have morning or afternoon class until August sometime. It will depend on numbers and locations of students. They do ask for your preference on the registration form, but there are no guarantees. However, I was told by our cousin the principal that there are usually a few spots in AM kindergarten that are open for those parents who are willing to drive their child home from school – she would be able to take the regular bus in the morning. We will just have to make our request and then wait and see.)
