The problem with the weather

It isn’t that it’s really HOT. According to a weather website that Dale found and passed on to the Webmaster, it hit 103 degrees at Thrasher’s Corner yesterday. Yikes.

The problem with the weather is that it’s NOT cooling down in the evening. We’re supposedly breaking records around here for overnight highs – the temperatures aren’t dropping below 70 degrees at night.

The kids are having a terrible time sleeping. Tad point-blank refuses to have a fan on in his room – I’m not really sure why, except that I think he’d rather listen to a CD than the drone of the fan – and both kids’ rooms feel like a sauna when we’re putting them to bed.

Our bedroom’s not much better, either.

We spent a good part of yesterday evening at the library. I think the kids and I might be taking in a free movie to beat the heat today – even if it’s not one that they are interested in seeing.

Supposedly, there’s only a couple more days of this extreme heat and then it’ll drop by 15 degrees or so. I hope the weather forecasts are right!

I feel your pain. Our upstairs AC broke, again, and I slept downstairs on the couch because it’s too hot in our room. The girls’ rooms were tolerable and they slept well, contrary to when the AC broke the first time. We have no idea when that’s going to get fixed and the temp is going to spike back up into the “normal” range for August of 100+. I hate Oklahoma.

Um, The Bothell forecast present says is it to be 104 today. 102 tomorrow. Hmm.

Give Jen a call. The pool is set-up in the back. 🙂
