Guess who took off underwear last night to use the potty?!??!

TAD.

It would be nice to get him used to at least ONE layer of clothing. While I don’t mind seeing his cute little buns run around the house, I’m always worried that something’s going to hit him in a place that hurts while he’s jumping around and playing. Not that underwear will prevent that, but still.

Ane was busted yesterday for sticking her tongue out at her father – a big no-no in our house. As I led her off, she yelled, “I was just licking my lips!”

Yeah. Nice try, kid.

Tad has his four-year-old checkup appointment today. I’m sure it will be interesting. Like his sister, he has been practicing his breathing for the doctor with the play stethoscope. I’m not sure if they will do any of the cognitive tests that they did on Ane at age 4. His development has been well-documented for his pediatrician, and they know he’s in special ed preschool. Still, it’ll be nice to see what his weight and height is, since he’s such a skinny little monkey.

Yesterday was our annual Slip-n-Slide day at our church for the kids. Ane and Tad had a great time getting wet and running around with their friends. Tad especially loved the splash pool at the end of the large inflatable slip-n-slide, because he just loves “swimming.” However, we were constantly having to fish him out because other kids were going to splash into him.

And the perfect way to end the day was with a popsicle – or, if you’re Tad, a “hopicle.”
