Tad’s First Day

This very happy boy was raring to go, bright and early, on Monday morning.

Tad is ready for school!

He’s a pretty cute preschooler, I think.

Happy Boy

After taking some pictures, we set a mildly resentful Ane up with a TV show and walked Tad down to the end of our cul-de-sac to wait for the bus. Tad was hopping like a bunny and listening very intently for his bus.

Do you hear the bus?

He was standing with his hand to his ear whenever he heard a diesel engine approaching. “You hear dat? It da BUS!”

Unfortunately, we had a couple of false alarms as a couple of large trucks drove by.

But when that bus came, Tad was ready for it. The Webmaster and I boarded with him, met the driver, and buckled Tad up.

Ready to go?

He looks a little more apprehensive in this picture than he really was. I kissed him on the cheek and said good-bye, and he waved at us as the bus drove off. He’s the first kid on the route in the morning.

It was very strange to see my little boy ride off in a bus to school.

When the time came, I was back out at the bus stop waiting for him to come home. And come home he did, happy as a clam, excited to see me, and asking if he could watch his favorite shark documentary.

AND I got a note from his teacher saying he’d used the potty at school!!!

AND he got a good day hand stamp!!!

AND Ane is going back to school today because her fever broke and has stayed down for 24 hours!!!

Two kids in school. What am I going to do with myself?

Good job Tad! I’m glad Ane is feeling better too.

It’s hard to believe you are putting them BOTH on the bus. They REALLY DO grow up! I love it when kids LOVE school, as yours surely do!

Enjoy your time without them. It’s not long until you will have your hands full again – full time! March, did you say?
