The joke is on me
God has a sense of humor.
Here I was, happy in my non-pumpkin pie eating ways, and then I get a kid who likes pumpkin pie. Ane actually asked if there was any pumpkin pie at a church dessert social recently, and was thrilled that there was. She ate most of a piece.
Then we went to Baskin-Robbins last night for a treat after going to Tad’s preschool’s Jump Planet night (60 kids bouncing off inflatables – always fun!), and I noticed that they already have egg nog ice cream available.
Ane, who was eating a cone of rainbow sherbet (Tad had chocolate peanut butter), asked what egg nog was. I tried to describe it to her, but it’s another one of those foods/drinks that I don’t like, so it’s hard. The Webmaster likes egg nog, however.
So, when we were finished, the Webmaster got a sample spoon of egg nog ice cream for Ane. And she liked it.
I called Grandma to complain. “Your genes skipped a generation and went directly to her,” I said.
Of course, the Webmaster likes both pumpkin pie and egg nog, so maybe she’s just her father’s daughter.
And maybe I’m just weird.

Yup, you’re the weird one.

Brain has deliberately chosen red as his favorite color just to spite me I think …

Does [Webmaster] like the store bought or the ‘real’ stuff?

Yes, I do like the “real” stuff 🙂
