Back to School – NOW

There is an old Calvin and Hobbes storyline of ages ago, when Calvin is so sick that he doesn’t even care that it’s a Saturday and he’s not missing school to see the doctor – which, of course, tips Mom off to the fact that he is really, really sick.

A few days pass, and Calvin is sitting in bed. “ROOM SERVICE!” he yells.

When Mom comes in, she glares at him and says, “You’re going back to school tomorrow.”

That’s pretty much how things have been going around here.

The new rule of thumb – once you are well enough to be annoying, you go BACK. Oh, and the fever has to be gone for 24 hours.

I am pleased to report that Tad has hit that mark, spent all of yesterday evening arguing with his sister (who went back to school herself yesterday), so I will have a little peace and quiet this morning while they are both in school.

Hallelujah.

I’m glad they’re both feeling better!

All you need are some tranquilizers and a dart gun.
