Food, Family, Fun

There was family – and it was fun.

Belle and Ane have their own table

There were so many people crammed around the dining room table at Great-Grandma’s that Belle and Ane got their own little table in the corner to share.

The food was delicious and plentiful, but some of us decided to hit the bottle instead.

Beth goes for the bottle of sparkling juice

And for some of us, the only part of the meal that mattered was dessert.

Tad loves him some pumpkin pie

That is Tad’s second piece of pumpkin pie. He ate a good chunk of his father’s slice of pie before asking for his own. Grandma obliged – after all, she had made it, and I’m sure she liked watching her grandson enjoy a second piece. Ane had pumpkin pie, too. *sigh* My children have deserted me. Rerun, you are my only hope now.

PS – I would be in big trouble if I didn’t mention that TODAY is Ressis and Oddball’s wedding anniversary! Five years! And I know I’m already in trouble because I never got a card sent. Shame on me. Anyway, happy wooden anniversary! I still have the picture frame you gave me from that anniversary year, Ressis!

Don’t worry about forgetting our anniversary, everyone in the family did.

Deanna, I think you are the only person in the world (besides me and Ben) who ever remembers our anniversary. Your family is strange that way… Well, maybe in a few other ways too. 🙂
