Game Night

The TV stayed off last night. Which was very nice.

The Webmaster got home a little bit earlier from work. Which was also very nice.

And after dinner, Tad was busy reading, playing, and doing some “computer work” (on his Cars computer), and I was working on laundry, so the Webmaster and Ane had some time for a game. The Webmaster had bought Ane a game for Christmas, and she was dying to play it with him.

Disney Princess Yahtzee.

They had to set it up, put the stickers on the dice, punch out the tiles, and read the instructions first. And then it was game time!

Ane took the game very seriously, but they both had a good time learning the rules and spending some time playing together. Tad actually stayed out of their hair, and I got him ready for bed and read to him while they were wrapping up their game.

The Webmaster ended up “winning,” but he had a few lucky rolls. Later, Ane was a little upset about losing to the Webmaster, even though he promised to play her again. “I only got one Nazi,” she said sadly.

Yes, her father corrected her pronunciation of “Yahtzee.”

Funny, last night was “Pixar shorts” and “first hour of Empire Strikes Back” night at our place. The TV DEFINITELY was on for us.

Only one Nazi, huh? She should read up on the Nuremberg Trials, we got a lot more Nazis then.

Glad to see Tad enjoying that laptop. And great to see the daddy-daughter time!
