Likes and Dislikes

This is Rerun.

For a one-week-old, he already has some very definite opinions about life.

Rerun’s likes:
– Mommy
– Daddy
– being held and cuddled
– sleeping on people
– nursing
– thumb-sucking (yes, he’s managed this a few times)
– pacifier (what we’re giving him instead when he just wants to suck and is full from nursing)
– being cozy and warm
– lullabies

Rerun’s dislikes:

– diaper changes (He hates them.  HATES THEM.)
– being chilly
– waiting to eat
– being too free and unswaddled
– sleeping alone in the cradle or basinette
– being alone
– being buckled into his car seat (unless the car is in motion)

And Rerun is indifferent to:
– loud noises (it’s a good thing, too!)
– his siblings
– riding in the car
– burping (the Webmaster can get him to burp; he doesn’t burp quite so well for Mommy)
– wet diapers (which is probably why he doesn’t understand the need to change him)

It’s only been a little over a week since he was born, and I can’t imagine life without him.  We like him very much.
