My Big Girl

It is a well-documented fact that Ane has had a love-hate relationship with Tad… oh, pretty much since he could get into her stuff.

Her relationship with Rerun is completely different.

The six year age gap is a big factor in that.  She will always remember Rerun’s birth, and life before he showed up.  There are only 19 months between her and Tad, so she has no memory of life as an only child.  When Tad was born, she couldn’t have cared less, naturally – she wasn’t even two yet.  With Rerun, as soon as she knew that a baby was coming, she was anxiously counting down the months, weeks and days.

Rerun knows her voice, and even though he can get fussy with her, she adores him and he responds to her.  Her Dolly has fallen by the wayside – she has the real thing in her life.  She sees all the ups and downs of a real live baby, and enjoys them more than playing with a doll.

Their relationship is going to be a very special one.
