When it rains…

THIS was the unofficial beginning of summer?

To put things in perspective, Rerun wore fleece overalls on Monday.  There was no barbeque on Sunday evening, because it was raining too much and far too wet to have everyone over and outdoors.  We all have cabin fever.  And in a fit of wishful thinking, I clipped the tags off and washed all of Ane’s new shorts and capris.

Yeah, no luck.

We did manage to have a mini-barbeque with Nana and Papa when they visited yesterday.  They hadn’t seen Rerun since April (they went on a cruise to the Panama Canal), and had a good time playing with all the kids.

Still, weather-wise, it was quite a bust of a weekend.  The highlights were definitely limited, but they included Nana and Papa’s visit, and Sunday dinner at Friend and Doc’s, where the kids watched Cars while the grown-ups watched Avatar… with the RiffTrax.

But Rerun laughed for the first time over the weekend.

So it was quite a fun weekend, despite the rain.

And I can’t explain why… but Rerun is growing in some disgustingly cute eyelashes.  What is it with my sons???
