Summer Hodgepodge

Rerun went from back to tummy on Wednesday… then he went tummy to back on Thursday.

That didn’t take long, did it?

And while we’re on the subject of my roly-poly butterball, he had a doctor appointment yesterday.  Two shots and one oral vaccination, and he is in perfect shape.  Rerun now weighs 16 pounds, 9 ounces, and is 26 and 3/8 inches long.  No wonder my back starts to ache after a while of carrying him around in the Baby Bjorn – I’m lugging around sixteen and a half pounds of baby!

The weather has been perfectly mild this week – how long can we keep this up?  We’re heading to the park for a playdate today, meeting up with friends (Aimee and her kids, and a friend of Ane’s from school) and having a little bring-your-own-picnic.  This coming weekend is going to be Picnic Weekend, because we’re going to the Webmaster’s company picnic on Saturday, and the church is having a picnic on Sunday after the service.

One of the nice things about summer is the time to play… at least for Ane.  Whenever there is time, and both parties are at home, Ane and Little Mo are either here at our house or over at Little Mo’s.  Yesterday, Little Mo came over to watch a movie with Ane after dinner.  This is one of the best side benefits of having a friend live just a few doors down from you.

So, I was putting together a package for Ressis and her family, which includes her birthday presents and some special treats for her girls, when… I ran out of packing tape. Grr…. so, guess what I have to go pick up today before I go to the post office!

Tad’s birthday is fast approaching – I can’t believe he’s going to be five!  I have to start planning his birthday party.  Three guesses what this year’s theme is, and the first two guesses don’t count.
