Ane Speaks – the back of the van

The Webmaster and I are now attending a Monday evening small group through our church, which has several other couples with small children.  The up side is that there is childcare.  The even better up side is that the childcare is Auntie – and we bring her there each week.

On the way home last night, Auntie and Ane started bickering with each other – as is typical.  Auntie was teasing Ane about liking Auntie’s boyfriend, Will.  “I’m going to text Will and say, ‘Ane loves you and thinks you smell nice,'” Auntie told her.

“ACK!  DELETE!  DELETE!  DELETE!!!”  Ane yelled.

I began to laugh so hard that the Webmaster asked if he needed to take the wheel (I was driving).  Ane, indignant at my laughter, shouted, “Mom, you need to go to bed straight away, because you have lost your grip!”

Which only made me laugh harder.

The situation was not helped by Ane trying to explain what she thinks of Will.  “I don’t like him, I just like him!”

In the middle of all of this hilarity, Tad, with great comedic timing and apparently exasperated with all this chatter, sighs loudly and asks, “Are we there yet?”

I was laughing so hard I was crying.  You just had to be there.
