Deja vu all over again

I already lived this story once recently.  I was not looking to relive it again so soon.

The Webmaster was laid off yesterday from his job of 13 months.

Yes, this was unexpected.

Yes, it sucks.

Yes, the layoffs are company-wide.

Yes, he got a severance package.

Yes, we have been saving up in preparation for a day like this.  But I sure wasn’t planning to use it so soon.

Yes, there are other jobs out there.

And God is good, and we have very supportive friends and family.

And three healthy children.  (Though someone threw up in Ane’s class yesterday – everyone keep your fingers crossed that it doesn’t sweep through the whole class now.)

So, here we are again.  Hello, unemployment, we meet again.  I can’t say I’m pleased to see you.
