Dental Work

Well, the report is back from the dentist.  No cavities!

Tad was also the first child to bring his own DVD to watch while having a cleaning done.  Three guesses what the DVD was about.

Ane had x-rays done this time, and the dentist took a look at her jack o’lantern smile.  Orthodonture will commence once her six-year-old molars are replaced with adult teeth, so we still have a few years to go.

Rerun didn’t get a checkup – he’s only got two teeth! – but he did get to sit in the chair and play with his very first toothbrush!

The baby toothbrush is wedge-shaped so that babies can’t shove the toothbrush down their throats and choke.  It can also work as a teether.  Rerun definitely enjoyed chewing on it.

And the flu shots are going to have to wait until Ane is on half days at school for parent-teacher conferences, because the pediatrician’s office only does them on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Tad is going to be out of school during these half days, because all half day kindergarten is off during this period, so we’ll actually have time to fit them in.

But at least they all have clean teeth if they do get the flu between now and next week.

Glad they don’t think that the dentist is a bad place. Good work, mamma.

What kind of toothbrush is it? I’d like to get one like it for my grandson. Thanks!
