Christmas with Nana and Papa

(part 4 of the Christmas debrief – and I do think we have finally come to the end…)

Our belated Christmas celebration with the Webmaster’s parents, Nana and Papa, took place the day after Ane’s birthday.  They decided to spend the night up here, so then we could have a leisurely time together after Ane got a flu shot.  (Yes, she had a checkup.  Still a healthy kid.  Exactly 4 feet tall now!)

Each of the kids got a new hooded towel from them this Christmas.  Nana mentioned that she had been looking online and one caught her eye… so then each kid got one.  Guess which towel caught her eye first?

Ane was pleased with hers.

Rerun got a frog towel… and he will have to do some growing to use it.

And Ane fell completely in love with her new musical jewel box, given to her by her great-aunt and great-uncle.

Once we managed to get the kids calmed down (not an easy task, when all they’d been doing for the last how many days was just continually open presents), we were all off to celebrate Ane’s birthday at Red Robin.

Each of the older two got a balloon.

Rerun was taken with the balloons, and looked like he wanted one of his own.  I said no, because I know he puts everything into his mouth.

After a late lunch, Nana and Papa headed for home.  As we drove back to our house, Ane and Tad decided to get into a balloon fight – which consisted of the two of them trying to hit the other’s balloon with their balloon.  All was well until Ane’s balloon popped.  She burst into tears, at which point her brother let out an evil laugh (“HA HA HA HA!”) and kissed his own balloon in triumph.

And Christmas was finally over, along with the goodwill between siblings.

Hmmmm…the force is strong in that one (Tad) and his balloon fighting skills are complete.
