Technology Makes Me Mad

Grr… our home PC is not behaving itself right now.  I’m not sure what the trouble is, but it only seems to behave for a short period of time after being rebooted – and I have hit the restart button more times than I care to think about today just to use this sucker.

In a pinch, I can blog from the iPad, so never fear, I should be able to keep up on everything.  Emphasis on the “should.”  The biggest problem, of course, is that my tech support is currently out-of-state.  With the laptop.  So forget pictures this week – I am seriously concerned about overtaxing this system.

But at least I have the iPad.  All this PC trouble is enough to make me take a second look at a Mac.  Hello, iPad, sing me your siren song of Apple precision…

I digress.  But it does make for an aggravation that I definitely do NOT need with the Webmaster away.  Friday can’t come soon enough.

To wrap up this rant, here is something cute… We are working with Tad on a list of words on flash cards.  His teacher has asked that we work on getting him to sight read them, and I have taken them with me to his speech therapist as well, so she can help with the pronunciation.  Tad can read over 50% of them on sight now, but he keeps getting stuck on “computer.”  He doesn’t say “computer” – he says, “come to da puter.”

He says “iPad” clear as a bell.  Hmmm…

Have you cleaned out the inside of the tower on the computer lately? Whenever my PC acts up like that, it’s just dusty and nasty inside and starts overheating. Hope your computers back to running normal soon!!

He can say “iPad” because he wants it, the computer not so much. It’s all about desire. I mean, have you ever heard any kid mispronounce “cookie”?

I’m not certain it’s that, Secha, but it *has* been a while since I gave the inside a good burst of air. I have a feeling it might be the AVG antivirus software. They just released a major update and I’ve read rumblings from other users… plus Deanna reported one of the major error messages was regarding an AVG-related process.

    *sigh*
I hate technology sometimes, too. Sometimes, an appliance would be nice to have.

Keep calm & MAC on!! It’s a MAC world!!

Wouldn’t you love to spare yourselves all the frustration & just buy a MAC…or an “appliance”? 🙂 That’s a great price, too!

I’ve never had to give a MAC a burst of air…Derek might while sitting at ours at home…hahaha!!

Webmaster – Ugh, say nothing more… I had to get rid of AVG because I couldn’t do ANYTHING with my system anymore. Technology does, infact, suck a majority of the time. Yet for some reason, we can’t live without it! =D
