Student by day, Batman after school

Tad came home from school yesterday in a pretty good mood (after I had to wake him up on the bus – the ride is long enough that he usually falls asleep).  When we got home from the bus stop, he really wanted to get into his room, but Rerun was still napping.

He waited not-so-patiently for his brother to wake up.  Once Rerun was up, Tad was all business.  “Bye, Mama!” he told me.

“Where are you going?” I asked, amused – he was standing in the hallway, and it didn’t look like he wanted to go outside.

“To the Batcave!” he cried, running off to his room and closing the door (which was now free of pesky little brothers).

“Have fun!”  I called after him.

Ten minutes later, the Dark Knight emerged.

This is after he came out, and asked if he could have his Halloween mask and the tie-on “tility belt” to use.  I think the costume is getting a little tight.  Which is why he’s using his Clone Wars blanket (which has snaps on it to make it a wrap) as a cape.  He apparently doesn’t mind mixing his genres.

At least he knows that he should keep his superhero antics for home and not school.
