Cupcakes!

And not just cupcakes.  Dark Chocolate Bacon Cupcakes.

I made them for Sunday night dessert at Friend and Doc’s, when we had more company than usual with some mutual friends.  Auntie had made some chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and offered me some, so the kids had those.  The grown-ups got these.

Verdict was that it was a deliciously moist dark chocolate cake, but it needed more bacon to make it more bacon-y.  I may tweak the recipe to add more next time.

Ane wants to make cupcakes for the Webmaster – his birthday is on Friday.  I think she has Red Velvet on the brain. 🙂
