Pumpkins, 2012 version

My children hate me.  That’s the only conclusion I can come to after the templates they chose for their pumpkins this year.

Of course, the boys cannot be trusted with knives to create their own pumpkin designs, and Ane had picked something just complicated enough to make it nearly impossible for her to do it without crying if something went wrong.

So the Webmaster and I, after letting them scoop out guts and seeds, got to the carving.  The kids were fine with this labor arrangement.

When they were done, this was the final result.

The Webmaster carved Snoopy as the World War I Flying Ace for Rerun, our little Peanuts freak.

I did an etching of Batman (from the 90’s animated series) for Tad.

And Ane, who had initially wanted a cupcake on her pumpkin (but we could not find a template for it), went with Hello Kitty, done by me.

Next year… the girl carves her own pumpkin.
