Christmas Debrief – Part 3

Off to Grandma and Gichan’s we went!

The kids got to open their stockings before our Christmas brunch, which they did, eagerly.

After our delicious brunch of made-to-order omelets, hash browns, coffee cake, bacon and sausage and ham and fruit salad and coffee or hot chocolate (all courtesy of Grandma), the kids got to get into the presents under the tree.  We let Tad play Santa, which turned into a little confusion later, because he got impatient and ended up opening one of Rerun’s presents (which ended up being clothes) because things were just taking too long.  Oops.  Oh, well.

By the time all the presents under the tree were opened, it was well past time for Rerun to take a nap.  Grandma took him upstairs to the Pack’N’Play where he naps at their house, while the older two played with new toys and the grown ups cleaned up and relaxed.  The Webmaster drove home with some of the kids’ stuff and checked up on things before coming back.  Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa came by in the evening for a lasagna dinner, and then we headed for home with completely Christmased-out kids.  They were happy.  Their Christmas Day had been full of fun and family and presents that they loved.  And we still weren’t done!

… to be continued…
