The Stupid Cat is Not Pleased

New Year’s Feast at Grandma and Gichan’s lived up to its usual feasting standards.

And for some reason, Wicket the cat decided to get off his usual spot on the heat register and come near the kids once more.  He usually hides from them, but he made the mistake of getting too near Tad, and then allowing Tad to pet him (and Tad misses Rusty and loves petting animals), and then Tad… well… Tad decided Wicket should get festive for New Year’s.

This is what I found in the kitchen.

Your eyes do not deceive you – that is a cat wearing a double loop of blue Mardi Gras beads, courtesy of Tad.  And I think the cat wants me dead for taking not one, but TWO pictures of his humiliation.

Tad was so excited that the cat looked “pretty,” and the stupid cat actually wore the beads all night.  In fact, I asked, and Grandma had to take them off the next morning before she let him out because she didn’t want him getting caught on anything.

So, the cat is stupid for wearing beads all night.  And Tad needs a pet.
