Three Weeks

Thumper is three weeks old today.

There are preemie outfits that he’s outgrown, and he’s starting to fit better into his newborn-sized sleepers.

His face is starting to fill out – at least in pictures – and his hands and feet are quickly losing the wrinkled “old man” look as he gains weight.

He is the eye of the hurricane in the house – everything seems to swirl around him, creating havoc, while he remains calm.  Unless he’s having his diaper changed.  Then he is the roar of the hurricane and the rest of the chaos stops to listen.

The three older kids all adore him in their own ways.

But only Mama’s voice has the power to stop his fussing and make him perk up.  (Daddy’s voice does seem familiar to him, though.)

And his Mama is so in love with him that she took 34 pictures of him in one sitting just because he was so alert and so cute.  Thank goodness for digital cameras!
