Dunked
Yesterday was a special day for us.
Ane was baptized yesterday at church during the first service. We had two full rows of people there to see it – Grandma and Gichan, Auntie, Obachan, Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa, Nana and Papa, and Little Mo and her mom.
Ane was pretty nervous about talking in front of that many people, but she gave her very simple testimony of faith, and then braced herself to go under.
And then she went in and was brought straight back up. My camera was competing with other cameras, so this was the next picture I got.
The pastor who baptized her knows her quite well, so he prayed very eloquently for her afterward.
We were all proud of Ane for making this decision to love and follow Jesus.
Of course, Tad had to add his two cents’ worth in… when she stepped into the tub, he said to us, “Oh, no, her pants are ALL WET!”
Nothing gets past him.

Her Dad was her age when he was baptized in the Tilton River one September day in 1985. Does this public testimony of faith in Jesus anchor you for life? YES! O happy day!

So proud of her for making the most important decision she will ever make. God bless her always.
