Trouble, Contained

Thumper is still sleeping in our room in his Pack ‘n Play.  We will hopefully be changing this soon, and he will be rooming with Ane.  Once we can clear out a spot for the Pack ‘n Play.  My dollhouse, after some 7 years of playtime in Ane’s room, will be going into storage for the time being.

In the meantime, Thumper is in our room, and Rerun thinks it’s some kind of slumber party.  In fact, he’s tried climbing into our bed twice in the last week.  The first time, he got up in the middle of the night to use the potty, but decided that it would be more fun to climb into our bed and hang out (we weren’t asleep yet, so he got moved after a little cuddle time).  The second time was Saturday morning, when the Webmaster was getting up early to go to a gun show up in Monroe.  I woke up with his alarm as well, and we both noticed that the door was more ajar than we remembered.  Then the Webmaster said, “I can’t get up.”

“Why?”  I asked.

“Because Rerun is right here and on my legs,” he said.

And there he was, fast asleep.  The Webmaster managed to extricate himself and move the sleeping boy, who didn’t wake up.

And Rerun firmly believes that the second he hears crying, Thumper is up and ready to play.  (The kid has never heard of the “cry it out” method, apparently.)  He thought I was taking too long to retrieve Thumper recently, and this is what I found when I realized that the crying had stopped and it was way too quiet in the house.

Post-slumber party

At least all the trouble is in a confined space.  And at least Rerun can’t successfully pick Thumper up… yet.
