Storytime with Big Brother

Tad has picked up a new favorite book series this school year – Scaredy Squirrel.  I think a big part of it was that the first book is available (through the public library website) as a Scholastic Bookflix video, which Tad promptly memorized.  He was  thrilled when he got the first book this Christmas – he had been checking it out so often from the school library that he’d actually spent the time to draw copies of all the pages of the book in an attempt (a good one) to make himself a copy of the book.

So now that he has his own copy, he reads it aloud to himself, often.

And he doesn’t mind if he has an audience.

I found them like this.  Rerun had climbed up to listen to Tad read/recite, and Tad didn’t object.  So I ran for the camera.

It’s moments like this that make up for all the times they try to strangle each other.
