Feels Like Summer

We are about to have a nice stretch of sunny days around here.  I can hardly believe that summer – and summer vacation – are right around the corner.  But it’s June, so here we go!

The end of the school year is coming.  Ane will be finishing 4th grade, and Tad will be finishing 2nd grade.  If all goes according to plan, Tad’s teacher, Ms. W, will be coming back to teach his class this fall (she went on maternity leave when the kids went on spring break).  And we learned last week that Rerun will be starting preschool in the fall at Tad’s old school – more on that tomorrow.  What am I going to do with myself?  At least I will still have Thumper to keep me company.

And while the kids have plans for fun this summer, Auntie and I have plans to make them WORK.  We’re mean like that.  Auntie is going to be running a personal summer school for the kids, putting all of her classroom management skills to use, so Ane and Tad don’t get too rusty this summer.
