My Helper
I was getting the kitchen cleaned up after dinner, when Tad brought me his bowl and cup from the table. He saw me with the sink full of dishes, and a sponge in my hand, and pointed. “Can I try that?”
Why, yes. Yes you may.
He used a little more water than I would have – and I had to remind him that we use HOT water to wash dishes, not cold – but he really enjoyed it!
I think it’s time we got him started on some regular (supervised) chores around here! His sister would be happy if he started helping out.
