The Snow Drought Is Over!
We did not see a single snowflake fall at home during 2015. Which the kids thought was terribly sad, especially as they saw pictures of their cousins back east get snowed in. (I realize it wasn’t that fun for them, but you couldn’t convince my kids otherwise.) Anyway, 2015 was a total bust when it came to snow in this area. However, 2016 is less than a week old and already given them a fabulous gift.
It had just started to snow as we left church, but as we drove home, the flakes were getting thicker and fluffier. By the time it stopped falling (and it kept going for a while), we had about a half inch of fluffy wet snow.
Which was just enough to play with in the backyard.
Tad was determined to build a snowman. But at first, he only had enough snow for a head.
I admired his ingenuity (and gave him a carrot), and the Webmaster encouraged him to keep trying. And with a little perseverance – and a little more snow…
… anything is possible.
I don’t know how long the snow will last – it’s supposed to freeze tonight – so maybe Tad’s snow buddy will hang around for a while!
